This mission statement will explain the objectives
of the American Council Of The Blind Of Tuscarawas Valley (ACB Tusc. Valley).
This chapter will do all it can to improve the quality of life for the blind in
this county and the Surrounding area. This chapter of the ACB was established on
January 1, 2001. We are a social group that is planning to be active in
educating the public, working with visually impaired children and adults, also
working with and guiding our legislative representatives on issues that deal
with the blind. We also bring back information from other chapters in Ohio and
across the country via conventions and through the Internet. This information
pertains to the latest technologies that assist in reading, mobility and other
needs that a person that is blind has to deal with on a daily basis. We also
loan equipment to blind or visually impaired (if available) to
assist them in reading or other tasks.
Along with "peer support" for the blind, we definitely have our work cut out for
us. We sincerely hope that you will consider supporting our efforts now and in
the future. This ACB chapter is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit.
