1.Rules & Interpretation -Solely at the discretion of rules of the tournament director. Any need to amend or initiate rules will be facilitated by tournament director only. Decisions will be final.
2.Participants & Eligibility - Open to anyone with an Ohio fishing license. Minors (under 18) must fish with a parent or Legal Guardian.
3.Safety - Safe and courteous boating must be observed. No wake and speed zones must not be violated. It is the responsibility of each team to know the lake rules and speed
zones.
4. Sportsmanship - A contestant must not allow any bass caught by him to be counted on the score of another contestant or another boat unit partnership and vice - versa. All bass must be caught as per rule 7 accordingly at the lake site on tournament date during tournament hours.
5. Tackle & Equipment - Artificial lures only. Live or prepared bait is not permitted. Only casting, spinning, and spin casting equipment allowed. All other prohibited. Only one rod in use at one time. Trolling is not allowed.
6. Boat & Motor - This is a self - pairing event one of your party must provide a boat and motor for your own use. Boating safety equipment and regulations in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard Standards shall be your personal responsibility and we leave this to your own discretion, you should be prepared - safety equipment, fire extinguisher, etc.
7. Permitted Fishing Locations- Fishing is permitted in any and all water not marked or restricted, such as danger areas, by order of legal authority, etc. Fishing within 50 yards of another participant’s boat is not permitted.
8. Pairings - Self - pairing, one or two persons to a boat. Provide your own boat for your own use. It shall be your responsibility that your partnership stays intact as per entry form- from registration until weigh-in is over. Partners must remain together until they sign in and their catch is weighed. OFFICIAL CHECK POINT- There will be only one official checkpoint designated to you. This checkpoint will be used for check out in the morning and check in that afternoon. The checkpoint is the place where your time of return will be logged according to your boat number.
9.Big Bass- One bass will be counted in this category. The heaviest scale weight of one fish per boat. Scale weight will be final weight. There will be a (5-oz.) penalty for dead fish. $10.00 per boat entry fee.
10. Scoring- Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass will be weighed for tournament standings. Five (5) fish per boat. Total weight in pounds and ounces of partnership or boat unit will determine partnership standings. All bass must measure at least 12 in. or more on our flat board in the longest straight line with the mouth closed and tail touching
12 in. marker in any position. Short fish will be penalized 16 oz.. Each. There will be a 5 oz. Penalty subtracted from your total weight for each dead fish. It will be the decision of the tournament committee as to the acceptability of fish brought in to be weighed and to the proper condition of release. Mounting privileges will be granted one fish per man less 5oz. Penalty. Partnership ties will be broken by the largest bass. IF still tied coin flip rule will prevail.
11. Weight in - There will be no early weigh in unless there is an emergency or one of the teams has to leave for work. The tournament will end at that time for that team.
12. Cheating- If it is determined by the committee that any team has cheated - or tried to cheat, it will result in automatic disqualification, with forfeiture of entry fee, from that tournament.
13. ACB Tusc. Valley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries.
14. Those not reporting in at check point on time will be counted late. The penalty is 1 Ib. Per minute. After 5 minutes your team will be disqualified. No Excuses Accepted. The ACB Tusc. Valley shall have the right to approach, board, or inspect participant’s boats at any time from check in until tournament standings are final on day of tournament.
15. Disqualification of boat unit partnership- will result --should the boat operator or partner of the boat unit be issued a watercraft violation during tournament hours. Lake Officials will provide to the tournament director at tournament the names of participants which had been issued violations. Participants will be notified immediately at weigh-in site of their disqualification. Please follow lake rules and adhere to all no wake zones.
